The Remarkable Playlist of Edna Fisher

If you haven’t read my review of The Remarkable Retirement of Edna Fisher, well, you probably should. It’s an absolutely delightful read. So much so that I created a short playlist. This playlist encompasses the vibes of the book’s first quarter to avoid accidental spoilers.

  1. For Once In My Life (Stevie Wonder) encompasses Edna’s excitement for her journey and being the chosen one.

2. I Love Lucy (Desi Arnez) is a fun nod to Enda’s favourite show that also just so happens to be a vibe.

3. Hold On, I’m Comin’ (Sam & Dave) is Edna get up and about for her adventure.

4. Back On Feet Again (The Babys) is what I imagine to be Edna’s anthem.

5. Beat It (Michael Jackson) is what Edna thinks of Redway.

6. Smells like Teen Spirit (Nirvana) encompasses Edna’s feelings toward Clementine.
